Join Acadian Ambulance! We are seeking motivated individuals eager to make a meaningful impact in emergency medical services. As an Emergency Care Attendant Trainee, you'll have the opportunity to take a 60-hour course with costs fully covered by Acadian Ambulance.

The primary role involves providing timely and effective pre-hospital basic life support care and the transportation of those in need, adhering to our high standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient examinations to identify signs of illness or injury, assisting other medical personnel as needed.
• Administer basic life support care promptly and efficiently in accordance with approved protocols prior to transport.
• Ensure safe handling and transport of patients in the ambulance.
• Facilitate safe and efficient transfer of patient care information to receiving personnel at medical facilities.
• Regularly inventory equipment and ensure it is functioning correctly.
• Drive the ambulance safely, adhering to company driving guidelines in all conditions.
• Attend mandatory training sessions and contribute to station upkeep.
• Document any equipment repairs and communicate effectively with your team.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• State certification as an Emergency Care Attendant.
• Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
• Valid driver's license as required by state law.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of company protocols and safety policies.
