Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Shell Assembler - 3rd Shift.
The hourly rate for this position is $20.40 per hour.

What you'll do:
Job Summary
Use defined procedures, bills of materials, VOMs, and equipment to assemble various sizes of transformers and related sub-assemblies, rework damaged or defective component parts, and complete assemblies.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform work in various centers, including core/clamp, turn-to-turn (T.T.R) testing/hook up, lead press, and stacking.
• Assemble shells by following customer specifications, blueprints, bills of material, visual operating procedures, standardized procedures, and prescribed methods (NFOI).
• Load cores and coils onto the stacking line, stack the core around the legs of the coils, and build and break down various coils, restacking coil pallets if not properly aligned to meet quality standards.
• Write order numbers on units and apply steel banding straps to clamp the assembly.
• Build sub-assemblies per OPS and quality standards required for final assembly using calibrated tools.
• Follow low voltage and high voltage hookup diagrams to make all assembly connections.
• Test each finished unit for proper ratio and good connections using a TTR Tester, troubleshooting any issues found during the testing phase.
• Perform rework on damaged or defective component parts/complete assemblies to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform routine upkeep on tools and equipment.
• Utilize various manual and power-operated hand tools and heavy machinery,
• Oversee and enforce lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols to guarantee the safe deactivation and isolation of equipment, ensuring energy control procedures are correctly applied to prevent inadvertent machine startup or hazardous energy discharge during repair or maintenance, in line with OSHA regulations and organizational safety guidelines.
• Safely operates overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility.
• Actively participates in problem-solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization.
• Achieves and maintains target production rates or output levels, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals.
• Adhere to safety protocols, ensures efficient material handling, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies and procedures.
• Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
