Lindsay, Pickett & Postel, LLC is seeking a dedicated attorney to join our Indiana team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the firms presence in Indiana while benefiting from the support and resources of an established, Chicago-based firm.

About The Firm

At Lindsay, Pickett & Postel (LPP), we focus on insurance defense, insurance coverage, and appellate litigation across Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana. Known for our exceptional client service and innovative litigation strategies, we deliver outstanding results for our clients. Our defense practice encompasses a wide range of matters, including construction negligence, premises and product liability, transportation liability, and general tort defense. Our Indiana office, located in Hammond, is a strategic expansion of our Midwest footprint.

About The Role

This position will focus on defending insureds in matters across Indiana state and federal courts. Our current Indiana defense practice is concentrated in Northwest Indiana, but we are actively looking to expand statewide. The successful candidate will work out of our Hammond office, with the option of a hybrid or fully remote schedule. Coverage experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities
  • Defend insureds in matters across Indiana state and federal courts
  • Manage a full caseload independently
  • Collaborate with a collegial team of attorneys and staff
Qualifications
Required:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice in Indiana, with experience litigating cases in IN
  • 3+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation
  • Strong writing, analysis, and courtroom skills
  • Comfortable managing a full caseload independently
Preferred:
  • Experience with construction, premises liability, product liability, UM/UIM, and/or transportation claims
  • Familiarity with insurance coverage matters
