EHS Coordinator

Description:

We are looking for an EHS Coordinator who will act as EHS point of contact and provides support to assigned Business Unit; completes work according to industry standard and regulatory requirements.

We need someone with experience in Excel, reporting, and data management. From the environmental and safety aspects we need candidates who are experienced in air testing, storm water, TCEQ, safety trainings, and conducting inspections.

Location: Nacogdoches, TX

What's the Job?

  • Assists with reporting data related to EHS metrics
  • Implements EHS requirements, monitors training and inspection records
  • Conducts inspections and identifies hazards
  • Assists in the investigation of workplace injuries and incidents; performs roots cause analysis on accidents, work hazards, helps to support corrective actions
  • Assists with the development of EHS documentation, including procedures, forms, and checklists
  • Assists in the development and implementation of EHS Toolbox Talks
  • Assists in the development and assessments of safety training; conducts employee training
  • Manages the EHS aspects of contractors that do work on site
  • Supports an EHS culture of excellence for safety and environmental management through effective communication

What's Needed?

  • College degree in a technical field such as EHS, engineering, or science or equivalent work experience
  • 2-3 years of applicable EHS experience
  • Experience in an industrial work environment with EHS responsibilities.
  • A good working knowledge of EHS regulations.
  • EHS certifications a plus.
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and able to influence people at all levels.
  • Must have strong process skills for standardization, continuous improvement, and program management.
  • Must have a passion for EHS and able to translate into practical action. Must have good problem-solving skills and experience
