Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Tool & Die Maker - 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $29.15 per hour. Job Summary Specialize in the construction, alteration, and repair of complex tools, equipment, dies, fixtures, gauges, etc., requiring a high degree of skill and knowledge of machining and tool building practices.
Job Responsibilities
Education Level Required
High school degree or GED required. Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or a two year related technical college education preferred.
Years and Area of Experience Required
1 year machine shop experience required.
Technical Knowledge
Must have knowledge of shop mathematics, working properties of various metals and steels, and be capable of shaping parts to precise dimensions required. Experience with manual lathes, surface grinders, milling machines required.
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, grabbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and using both hands to lift and lower materials, with or without accommodations.
Environmental Factors
Adhere to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when on the shop floor (safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, FR shirts, and others based on the department you are in). Work efficiently in hot environments and tolerate loud noises.
Soft Skills
Demonstrates effective communication, attention to detail, adaptability, and a positive work ethic, comprehends written and verbal work instructions accurately, and upholds Eaton's Values and philosophy.
