The Field Service Engineer is the frontline technical expert responsible for ensuring successful startup, operation, and maintenance of systems in the field. This hands-on role blends mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, system commissioning, and customer training to ensure reliable performance and a superior service experience.
This is a full-time travel position with company-booked flights, hotels, and rental cars. The role is ideal for a military veteran who thrives in dynamic environments, values structure and accountability, and enjoys problem-solving and field-based technical work.
Key Responsibilities
-Startup & Commissioning
-Inspect new installations and verify mechanical/electrical system integrity.
-Lead system startup and commissioning for water and wastewater treatment equipment.
-Train customer operators and maintenance teams on safe, effective use of equipment.
-Maintenance, Repair & Support
-Perform equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
-Conduct warranty service work and provide retraining when required.
-Identify root causes of system issues and collaborate with engineering teams on improvements.
-Field Reporting & Compliance
-Prepare accurate daily field reports and service documentation.
-Maintain organization of tools, parts, and travel documentation.
-Uphold all company safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Pay: $36-$42/hour based on experience
Overtime: Time and a half (average 10 hours/week)
Schedule: Monday-Friday overnight travel, occasional weekends, OT required
