Maintenance Helper

This position is in the Nacogdoches Maintenance Department and reports to the 1st Shift Maintenance Supervisor. This position is primarily responsible for providing service to the Machine Shop and Assembly Departments through lubrication and preventative maintenance, and/or any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities:

Daily housekeeping activities. Daily safety checks for unsafe acts and conditions. Work closely with production associates and supervision to fill their needs to accomplish highest production efficiency.

Experience:

One year maintenance experience is preferred

Education:

GED or High School Diploma preferred

Training and Skills:

Must be able to read and understand MSDS sheets Demonstrated mechanical aptitude

Must have the tools listed on MM040 "Required Maintenance Tools"

Physical Demands / Environmental Factors:

Ability to continuously stand or walk. Ability to bend, squat, & lift < 35 pounds frequently Ability to climb stairs occasionally Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to move rolling product cart > 150 pounds occasionally This is a manufacturing environment with minimal climate control. Ability to work in a hot environment.
