Job Details

Bachelor's in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, or related field, National certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent), and 1–2+ years recent hospital lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position requires a Medical Technologist with a strong generalist skill set, including expertise in Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Blood Bank Serology, and Chemistry. Candidates must have a current MT/MLS ASCP certification and at least one year of relevant experience, with specific proficiency in Blood Bank. A bachelor's degree is required. The role involves working mid-shifts from Monday to Thursday, 12 PM to 10 PM, on a 7-on/7-off schedule consisting of a mix of 10- and 12-hour shifts. No block scheduling is involved, but floating to different departments may be necessary. Nurses can expect a supportive environment where teamwork is valued, without mandatory on-call duties, though shift coverage may occasionally be requested.

Responsibilities:

• Perform testing and analysis across multiple laboratory disciplines including Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Blood Bank Serology, and Chemistry.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to protocol.
• Support blood bank operations with a focus on patient safety.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure high-quality diagnostic outcomes.
• Adhere to established laboratory policies and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• MT/MLS certification by ASCP.
• Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a generalist medical technologist role.
• Proficient in blood bank procedures.
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
