Job Details

Bachelor's in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, or related field, National certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent), and 1–2+ years recent hospital lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A skilled Medical Technologist is needed for a contract opportunity based in Pollok, TX. This position requires a well-rounded laboratory generalist who brings expertise across multiple disciplines, including hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood bank serology, and chemistry. The role offers a dynamic schedule and a chance to contribute to effective patient care in a 149-bed medical center.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• MT/MLS certification through ASCP is required
• Bachelors degree in medical technology or related field
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a generalist Medical Technologist
• Blood bank experience is essential
• Proficient in hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood bank serology, and chemistry testing
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as Medhost and Cerner Blood Bank

Schedule and Hours:

• Mid-shift schedule: Monday through Thursday, 12 PM 10 PM
• Work pattern includes 7 days on and 7 days off with a combination of 4 ten-hour shifts and 3 twelve-hour shifts
• No call but may be asked to cover additional shifts as needed
• Floating between departments may be required, with no block scheduling

Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical lab tests accurately and efficiently
• Maintain quality control and assure compliance with laboratory standards
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver precise lab results
• Assist in blood bank procedures and serological testing
