The Early Child Care Assistant Coordinator/Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children. This role requires full compliance with Texas Minimum Standards for Child Care Centers and supports the goals of the Texas Rising Star program. This role will also assist the Daycare Coordinator in the daily operation, supervision, and administration of the CUBS Early Learning Center; this role may also serve as a leadership presence and may act in the coordinator's absence when delegated.
Education/Certification: Child Development Associate credential or Certified Child Care Professional credential with six college credit hours in management
Special Knowledge/Skills: Thorough understanding of childcare center operations Effective organizational, communication, computer, and interpersonal skills Ability to coordinate center functions Ability to implement policy and procedures Demonstrated knowledge of state childcare guidelines and licensing requirements Ability to manage budget and personnel
Experience: Two years' experience in a licensed childcare center
