Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Mammography Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: Ongoing 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Staff This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus. Performs breast diagnostic examinations with the use of imaging mammography. Assists physicians with invasive procedures such as, breast localization and tissue biopsy. Patient care employees must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients of all age groups–must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development through the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's needs in relation to age and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Minimum Education: Associate Degree in Radiology Technology Minimum Experience: Graduate of a 2-year program Required Certification: 40 hours CEU specific to Mammography, BLS Required Licensure: TDH/MRT, ARRT, Mammography certification is preferred.
